La Mota Ranch has been operating since 1895. Today its owners offer historical tours of the ranch and the surrounding area to view the many artifacts collected over the years. Nature fans can observe the different species of plants, animals and birds living around the ranch. Trail rides, star gazing trips, motorcoach day tours and other activites are also available. The ranch is located 20 mi south of Hebbronville.

The Rancho Lomitas has guided tours to teach about the local plants and their uses. Guests will learn what plants are poisonous, medicinal and edible. Coffee and a snack are provided.
