    San Agustin Church Laredo

    San Agustin Church was founded in 1779. Today, the Church is one of the oldest in the Southwest. San Agustin continues services and the adjoining plaza is the center of economic, political and social activities for Laredo.

    Scotus College
    In 1926 the Scotus College was established as a Franciscan seminary in Hebbronville to provided sanctuary for nearly two dozen priests and their students who were trying to avoid persecution in Mexico. The dome tower of the college sits high above the town, and while the seminary has since closed, the building is still used in this community.
